WHY? I DON’T KNOW All I want is you but all I see are complications It’s not like I can blow them off pretending that they simply don’t exist All I need is you but every turn is a reservation Why? - I don’t know Every time the world says yes I find some dumb excuse to shut us down I turn dark and hide When the opportunity arises to commit to you my love The words don’t connect with my eyes... All I want to do is live a peaceful life together Why, is that so hard? Why? I don’t know... I don’ t know!

An instrumental track for this (slightly altered in melody) actually ended up on a CD collection called "20 Burnt Weeny Sandwiches". It was a tribute to the music found on Frank Zappa's classic record "Burnt Weeny Sandwich". THE PERFECT MARRIAGE Yes is just a means to no Stop could not exist without it's rival go And you and I will rock and roll Until the lives we have turn in their mortal souls Everything is like the perfect marriage Suppose it's always been that way Perfect by design just like the horse and carriage So entwined… Like night is to day The present needs the future past Nonsense needs some logic to keep up the flag And salutations never last because the goodbye look is right behind it's ass Everything is like the perfect marriage Suppose it's always been that way Perfect by design just like the horse and carriage So entwined… Like night is to day OFF TO WASSELETTE (Sound Advice For Joan) Know, there are ways to fly Through any dimension of space and time Forces around you make it hard to decide But you’ll get some help from a destiny child Deep oceans of heavy karma projecting the films of your past Do you remember when life was so simple Once you untied yourself from the mast...

DALAI LAMA TOWN Wait around for years or search a lifetime
The perfect punch line may never hit you back
The joke is that each moment is for living
Until the writer types “fade to black”

 From sun to moon
 The sky is there
It never takes a bow
 From night to noon
 The big affair
Is rockin’ whether you are around

Movin’ down thru Dalai Lama Town
 (Dalai Lama Town)
Hoping to find my reality way beyond the clouds
Movin’ down – my last decision – leave my past behind
 Sikh in Dalai Lama Town
 Dalai Lama town

To question is the best of all religions
Surprised as pigeons when they finally hit the fan
That’s when we need a dose of Instant Karma
To free the farmer from a field of sand

 From sun to moon
The sky is there
It never takes a bow
 From night to noon
 The whole affair
Is rockin’ whether you are around

Movin’ down thru Dalai Lama Town
 (Dalai Lama Town )
Hoping to find my reality way beyond the clouds
Movin’ down – my last decision – leave my past behind
Sikh in Dalai Lama Town
Or some exotic phrase that means the same

 Crush all boxes
 Don’t play the fool
Everything you think – you "am"
Tell the bastard trying to keep you a slave
That you’ve got other plans From sun to moon
 The sky is there
 It never takes a bow
 From night to noon
 The whole affair
Is rockin’ whether you are around

Movin’ down thru Dalai Lama Town
 (Dalai Lama Town)
Hoping to find my reality way beyond the ground
Movin’ down – my last decision – leave my past behind
Sikh in Dalai Lama Town
Where dunderheads and wise men pray in line
They say it makes a difference when ya die

That remains to be seen
 That remains to be seen
That remains to be seen
That remains to be seen
 That remains to be seen

WHEN YOU'RE RIGHT, YOU'RE RIGHT I always think the universe is out to get me - get me bad I bang my head – it’s never ending You always told me that I live my life like someone picking scabs I never give them time for healing When you’re right you’re right And there is nothing I can do about it When you’re right you’re right So Simple Embrace each day Until that day is through I always worry that the worst of it is right around the bend I live in fear of a disaster Your passive wisdom sometimes sneaks it’s way into my inner ear But still I grimace – what a loser When you’re right you’re right There is nothing I can do about it I can fight the fight But all I end up is more aggravated When you’re right you’re right So Simple Embrace each day Until that day is through When you’re right you’re right The road signs - I refuse to follow When you’re right you’re right My decisions based on pride are so hard to swallow when I’m wrong Go ‘head Blame me What I do is meant to be But just maybe… that could change (Gioglio guitar solo) When you’re right you’re right There is nothing I can do about it I can fight the fight But all I end up is more aggravated When you’re right you’re right There is nothing I can do about it When you’re right you’re right So Simple Embrace each day Until that day is through

You oughta make it rain over easy Make it rain over now Make it rain over easy Won’t you let it out - won’t you let it out Now I used to hide and fake it Kept back my lonely tears Thought like nobody mattered Lived empty for so many years I was sure I was sure that the rainbows were blac & white ‘Till I saw ‘Till I saw through the shade in my life Make it rain over easy Make it rain over now Make it rain over easy won’t you let it down? You oughta make it rain over easy Let the tears drops down Make it rain over easy Won’t you let it out Some may say it’s bull (I hear them say) I say it’s not (I know it’s not true) To release all your pain (To release pain) Will usher in the love LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Make it rain over easy Make it rain over now Make it rain over easy won’t you let it down You oughta make it rain over easy Let the tears drops down Make it rain over easy Won’t you let it out?

D/C What is this chord that makes me cry when it goes by in a song? It’s a D over a C chord But it’s much more to me It’s the sound of a world where I used to be Forgotten memories recorded in my D - N - A It’s a D over a C chord To which I pray each day Not sure I understand it But it leaves me hanging for more That D over C chord welcomes me in But does not give me access through the door D over C D over C Release me Release me Release me once more

ANYBODY'S GUESS The orange METS™ T-Shirt from 1969 Is now a grease rag in my truck Like all the precious things I used to say I couldn’t live without Turns out that I was wrong ‘Cause life went on Beyond the attic door A loved one near to me Just passed away last week I cried and no one wiped my tears But soon they dried up as my clock rang off into another day Plans were made like they’d been made before Beyond my bedroom door Well, it’s anybody’s guess where we’re going It’s anybody’s guess what will be Like a crap shoot that always keeps on rollin’ Inside this God machine Powered by an endless dream... Well maybe - maybe... And all the science that we feebly figure out Unlocks more questions than is fair But as for me I’ve given up the quest for the holy grail I’m just grateful if my bones don’t hurt today And all these swollen bills are paid Well, it’s anybody’s guess where we’re going It’s anybody’s guess where we’ll be Is it all a random mess forever growin’ Through the emptiness of space and in between? Well, it’s anybody’s guess where we’re going It’s anybody’s guess what will be Like a crap shoot that always keeps on rollin’ inside this God machine Powered by an endless dream - or something...

EVERYBODY SOMEDAY Everybody cries Everybody cries some day And everybody lies Sometimes you have to live that way Everybody wants to find a place in the sun And make decisions on our own Simplify the situations - go your own speed And plunge into the great unknown Everybody dies Everybody dies some day You might be asking why I guess that’s not for me to say Gotta face the facts that every moment’s a gift No returns if it’s not fun The only real solution to the problems at hand Is knowing that the end will come CREEDO To my father I’m a worthless bum who has no right to rest To my mother I’m confusing mess encased in selfishness To my sister I’m a reason to come home and be depressed To my dog I’m just a psycho who’s motives can’t be guessed To the young girls I’m a pervert who is desperate for ass To the elders I’m that weirdo who pisses on their grass To the bosses I’m the perfect fool to take advantage of To the lowest form of church I’m just another freak to love To my friends I’m just a joker who is caught up in my head To my music I’m the creator of a race already dead And to all the other creatures who have walked into my hell I’m easily forgettable and probably just as well

TRITONE'S HELLO / UNGLEEFUL You and I … we used to be invisible Until the spies came knocking on our door Hello… is there anybody in there? Hello… guess it’s time to ditch this scene You and I … We used to be divisible Like one and five, we always had our own Well hello… is there anybody out there? Hello, is there any place to hide? Just when I thought we had it going on They busted up our ride Made me forget the waves of happiness we used to have inside You and I … We used to be invincible But then I died and left you on your own Well hello is there anybody out there Hello is there anyone who hears? IN THE LAND OF WASSELETTE In the land of Wasselette there was a lonely highway. And on that highway lay a tiny giant. And above the highway were haunted milk stained curtains. So milk stained that no child raised to grow his own telescope could penetrate it’s curtainology. But one afternoon the tiny giant awoke from a sudden slumber and as he yawned into the sky his foul breath parted the haunted milk stained curtains and shards of Tiffany colored glass fell upon him. He continued to look upwards towards the sky even though his punctured skin began to bleed on to the highway. Alas, all he could see now was a thick layer of dull empty darkness peeking behind the curtains. And this made his soul cry. With confirmed resignation the tiny giant aligned himself with the north breeze and proceeded to hip-hop down the lonely highway to his eventual grave-site which was already in progress.

about

All the music in this collection was recorded pretty much around the same time starting in early 2008. By 2010 all the tracks were complete. I had dreams about making this a three CD set and calling it "Clam Radio". The title derived from the eclectic radio show Susan DeVita and I host bi-weekly on WUSB 90.1 FM, Stony Brook, NY. I felt the continuity between the songs musically and lyrically were very obvious and the summation of all my work up to this point made for a great ending to another musical chapter. Unfortunately, there were certain limitations to putting out multiple discs in regards to the rules of the digital retailers. Details became very convoluted, and costly, so I opted for making separate CDs of this material. This was the first of three. The other two being "Gaga Over The S.O.P" and "Artifacts For The Dubious Cloud".

"Patience, my boy" was recorded at my cheap home studio in Stony Brook, NY. Some collaborations with singer songwriter Susan DeVita are evident here. In fact, her CD "Something Good" was recorded around the same time as these pieces at my studio and thus a lot of continuity can be found between my work and hers.

Enjoy,

JT
