This piece started out as a guitar song Jim Dexter was gonna work on with Marci Geller. That didn't happen. Once it found it's way to my ears I started superimposing "5 Subject Notebook" motifs on it. Jim soon picked up on the idea and started painting away and presto! A cool instrumental was born and ready for a film. Not one of those industrial high school films from the 50's and 60's but some kind of film. We're still waiting to see what kind. The Mead Corporation certainly wasn't interested with our initial offering of "5 Sub. Notebook". Maybe this piece might light their candle. Not.
