Music © 1995 by Jim Dexter, Nick DiMauro, John Tabacco
Published by It Iz What It Iz Music (SESAC) / Anti Sinister Music

This spacey sounding work, utilizes a processing box know as the Roland DEP 5. The alien whale sounds are Jim Dexter’s electric guitar played with an Ebow (a magnetic device that straps around his right hand reacting to his pick ups) run through the DEP 5. Composer Nick DiMauro and myself added the bizarre samples and solemn keyboard parts; many on the fly.

The form of the work is A/B/A. We start off with a mysterious introduction (A) quickly abducted into an alien sinkhole. No time to think. Once we are accustom to the bizarre atmosphere we are taken to its underwater planetarium. This is section (B) where the keyboard is introduced. A calming trance is then set upon us. Relax...breathe deep and hold... Before things become too static, we are rudely jarred from this state of being by a synthetic explosion, and quickly rushed back to the surface to come up with something more commercial for the general listening public. This is a short variation on section (A).
