The hook for this work comes from a stupid idea I had back in 1980 called "Luv Jive Lyrics". This "Akai" idea also gave birth to another song, "Something To Believe In" that can be found on the Fuzzy Gray Logic's CD . So both songs have the same mom. Who would have guessed? Sixteen years later while sitting on the gold couch in Sonic Underground Studios, goofing around, I started singing this "Luv Jive" melody. Gian and I quickly came up with the Aluminum Pennies concept. In the same sitting we also came up with the songs "Nacho Collector", J.E.L.L.O. and "Ya Gotta Re-Type It". "Re-Type It has it's origins in an old 8-Track tune called "Play Me For A Poor Boy". So, that's how some songs are created around here. Like in the Serengeti, nothing goes to waste.
