In case anyone (which in this case may be no one ) wants to know how Meryl and I came up with the hook melody of our first collaboration, here it is. Previously, we sat down and came up with a bunch of ideas. Some of them in that sitting were: "Sometimes I Wish I Had A Clone", "Don't Run Away" and "2 Steps Forward /1 Step Back". At this session we decided to work on the "Clone" song. We pretty much solidify the hook here (20 minutes later - this was edited down). Next was the verse that we pretty much had and the lyrics were written like most of our collaborations in the car. An odd tune that seems so obvious to me now.
