This is a drum solo I did a video of to test out my Canon™ “elf” camera. I had worked on the form of the solo for a few months prior to recording. When I felt my chops were up to speed, I figured I’d better document this sucker before I really get old and can’t even hold a drum stick. On a scale of 1 - 10, I am a 5.9 drummer. Adequate to play fairly steady beats and the skill of a few rudiments. I took lessons as a kid and if I practiced as much as I write and record I would be quite good by now. What you see in the video is unedited. But what you hear here is edited by about a minute and a half. The sound fx fit in nicely with the video and I got used to them so I left them in. Humor belongs in drum solos. This piece goes right into a beautiful guitar solo by Chris Pati. It was performed on a song I co-wrote with three other people. The name of the piece is “On The Blvd. Of Broken Dreams”. I never cared much for this 90’s over the top female... more

ND : Stain a couch.
JT : Puke can stain a couch. I know 'cause we puked on my aunt's couch once.
All of us. Our entire family. Ah-er, in one full swoop we all puked on her couch.
ND : Fell swoop. Heh-heh.

JT : And Ragtime our little - our little...
ND : Schinitzendoodle.
JT : Our little um...

JT : Ah, ha, our little hemophiliac...
ND : Ah - hah, puppy.
JT : Puppy. Spit up on my aunt's couch during Christmas.
ND : We had to have it put to sleep.
JT : They put the couch to sleep very quickly.
ND : You know...
JT : Can never get that stain out of there.
It's, It's brown. Burned a hole of acid...
