This was the third attempt at "Make It Rain Over Easy". The previous two I attempted (the original in 1981 and then a re-worked version in 1987) were never to my satisfaction. I always liked the hook but the verse was another story. In this version we have a verse with all these beautiful extended chords Meryl is playing on her little Yamaha keyboard. I shaped a melody over it and we came up with some cryptic lyrics. This was only played once in it's entirety. The song did not see the light of day until around 2000 when I did a short version of it found on the CD "Straight From The Truancy Genes". Sometime around 2010 I did a definitive version of the song and that now resides on the CD "Patience, my boy".
