The original version of this number is on The Akai Years CD. It’s one of the first songs where I used an alternate guitar tuning. In this case

The sound of Semitic alphabets had a powerful ring to them when sung, so I used them: “Mem, Aleph, Waw, Daleth, Yodh”. Other than that, the song is up to interpretation. I re-thought the lyrics a few years later but never got around to re-recording them. I would have had to create a new track from scratch (can’t undo overdubbing on an Akai sound on sound machine) and I was never in the mood. On a whim I decided a simple acoustic version might be nice to listen to. At the very least, re-direct a listener to the early music I created which I believe has a certain innocence and energy I was never able to capture again.
