lyrics

Old Hand Sign

And then he says to me: “Sin?” “What sin?”

He says: “Maybe you were born with sin,
but not me.”
” Can’t nail me.” “I’m an innocent bystander”.
“Born to live - born to die - it’s no big deal”.
“That’s my reality.”

And he goes on and he goes on and he...

Eventually he says: “And if there is a god so what?”
“If there is a primo manipulator who has it all worked out, than there isn’t much that we can do anyway. Right?”
“If it’s all ready sewn up?” “So then what?”
“What’s the big deal?”
“Aren’t we just little atoms in the fabric of space?”
“Born in a blink, gone in a blink?”

And then I say to him: “Well, then just play me the music and shut up”.
“Just let me enjoy the beauty of the math while I’m still in this absurd body. In this absurd plane.
In this absurd time”.
“You go your way - I’ll go mine”.

And then he stands up and he says:
“Case closed”.
(laughs)

I wish I had nuthin’ but I know I never will
‘cause I got a lot of nuthin’ already...
