KOBALT MUSIC PUB AMERICA OBO ESTATE FOR PETER WILLIAM HAM

This great Pete Ham song was always a favorite of mine. The original can be found on the Badfinger record “No Dice”. I used to sing it all the time when I was a kid. The register was just in my comfort zone range. Very strong melody. Very McCartney sounding, especially in the ending melisma turns of the chorus.

Anyway, I set up two microphones on my drums and did one take of it right after the “No Matter The Commotion” track. Just as a goof. Turned out to be a pretty usable drum track. So I had some fun and played the late Nigey L:ennon’s purple Ibanez guitar on it. It was a no hassle easy to mix recording. Sure wish I had written it.

I have a hunch that bits of the melody or at least the phrasing to a song I wrote with Jim Dexter called “Driving On The Left Side” was influenced by it.
