A classic Susan DeVita song found on a CD I produced with her called "Something Good". Hans Annellson heard that version and instantly wanted to create a rockier arrangement. He asked if I'd sing it. I was hesitant at first being that Susan's vocal is a marvel to listen to. How could I improve on it? Anyway, I did my best and kept my fingers crossed that she would approve of it. She did. And so did Hans. And here it is. That opening lyric is a killer!

lyrics

WHERE'S MY YOKO?

I feel like Nixon at a cocktail party
I’ll only smile until it hurts
How I wish that I could shrug my shoulders
I think I left the hanger in my shirt

And like a blind man at silent movie
There’s truly nothing I can say
You really dished me up some food for thought
Popcorn at a drive in matinee

Where’s my Yoko?
Don’t we all deserve someone who gets what we are all about
Where’s my Yoko?
I can wait a little longer...

Two chilly shadows in the early darkness
You held my hand in Central Park
Tracing patterns in the NY skyline
The wind blew through your hair and through my heart

Where’s my Yoko?
Don’t we all deserve someone who gets what we are all about
Where’s my Yoko?
I can wait a little longer...

I wait but you never come
I’m home but you never call
It feels like eternity's burning away
But it’s just another cigarette
Why?

Where’s my Yoko?
Don’t we all deserve someone who gets what we are all about
Where’s my Yoko?
Someone who can talk in bed and pull the music from my head
Where’s my Yoko?
I can wait a little longer...
