The rent a car place flew me to Lansing Michigan to pick up a customers car. On my way driving it back home I saw a plethora of dead animals on the road i.e. deer, squirrel, possum, birds, raccoons, industrial lamb etc. Nick and Gian DiMauro called these casualties "ROAD MEAT" or "ROAD PIZZA" depending on the kind of animal lover they were conversing with. I thought to myself, "Humm, there must be some delightful human out there who scouts out these dead things and takes advantage of their skin and bones". Hence, MR. ROADMEAT. He's out there on some remote mountain right now running for president. Every couple of months he goes to the local flea market and sells his homemade garb and peace medallions made of bone.

This is a mood piece I'm very proud of. It's supposed to be set in a church where some monks sing in praise of Mr. Roadmeat. They have respect for the dark side of life too. It's not all angels and birthday cake here. The basic tune was written on my AKAI, simultaneously with the hook for "We Believe It So Well". I think John Lennon's "Bless You" and Hall & Oates' "Method of Modern Love" influenced it.
